Festive and inclusive activities are organized across Quebec to foster dialogue and reconciliation.
On June 21, as part of National Indigenous Peoples Day, the Quebec Native Friendship Centres invite the public to recognize and celebrate the diversity of First Peoples. This day highlights the languages, knowledge, and contributions of First Nations and Inuit, while raising awareness of the contemporary challenges faced by Indigenous people living in urban areas. Cultural and festive events are organized in several cities across Quebec, open to all, to foster dialogue and mutual understanding. The Native Friendship Centres play a central role in this mobilization, serving as spaces for gathering and social transformation. They reaffirm the importance of building a future rooted in respect, reciprocity, and solidarity.
