The Centre d’amitié autochtone de Lanaudière has inaugurated Mikinakw, the first mobile clinic by and for Indigenous people in Quebec. This innovative service provides medical care, psychosocial support, and educational services directly within the living environments of Indigenous families in the region. Designed to address issues of isolation and mistrust toward institutions, the mobile clinic offers a holistic and culturally safe approach to health. It represents a concrete step toward self-determination and improved well-being for First Peoples.
