Inauguration of Trois-Rivières’ Community Living Environment for Indigenous Students

The SIRCAAQ inaugurates the second community living environment dedicated to Indigenous students, as well as the new premises of the Centre d'amitié autochtone de Trois-Rivières, two spaces designed by and for Indigenous people.

The SIRCAAQ inaugurated Waska Witcihitowin, a community living space for Indigenous students in Trois-Rivières, along with the new facilities of the Centre d’amitié autochtone de Trois-Rivières. Located near UQTR, this project offers over 40 affordable housing units and a range of educational, cultural, and social services tailored to the needs of Indigenous students. Developed in collaboration with numerous partners, it aims to support academic success and the well-being of First Nations people in urban settings. This innovative model embodies an inclusive and sustainable approach to housing and services.
