Inauguration of Sept-Îles’ First Community Living Environment for Indigenous Students
The Société immobilière du Regroupement des centres d’amitié autochtones du Québec (SIRCAAQ) is proud to officially launch Nutshimit, the very first community living environment dedicated to Indigenous students.
The SIRCAAQ inaugurates Nutshimit, the first community living space dedicated to Indigenous students in Sept-Îles. This innovative project offers a safe and culturally appropriate environment that fosters academic perseverance and well-being among Indigenous youth. Developed in collaboration with local partners and governments, Nutshimit provides much more than housing: it integrates services, cultural and community spaces designed to meet the real needs of students. This unique model represents a significant step forward toward equity in education and housing.
