A bill to be improved in light of the contributions of First Nations and Inuit to Quebec society
Position paper tabled with the Quebec Committee on Citizen Relations regarding Bill 84, Act Respecting Integration into the Québec Nation.
Bill 84 could better reflect the contribution of First Nations members and Inuit to Quebec’s economic, cultural and social development. Legislation in keeping with a cultural safety approach would make it possible to promote Indigenous specificities within the Quebec legislative framework.
